type of drink

Royal Lochnagar distillery was built in 1845 by John Begg on the area of the Balmoral Estate – a summer residence of the English kings (village of Crathie, Aberdeenshire, the Eastern Highlands). In 1848 it was visited by Queen Victoria and her family. She liked this visit so much, that John Begg was given a royal warrant to use the adjunct Royal and received an order for a batch of whisky. The distillery has been afterwards repeatedly visited by many members of the Royal Family and by prime ministers of Great Britain. This whisky variety is still famous among experts for being called “the royal whisky”. Royal Lochnagar 12 YO represents the main component of JOHNNIE WALKER BLUE LABEL.
