KOBLEVO finishes 2025 grape harvest: high quality despite difficult conditions

The annual grape harvest has concluded at the KOBLEVO winery, proving to be a true test for the viticulturists. The summer in the region was extremely arid, with minimal rainfall. The drought, which lasted more than three months, significantly affected yields. However, the vineyards of the agricultural enterprises "RADSAD" JSC and "AGRO-KOBLEVO" SE were able to adapt to the conditions and ensure a stable harvest of high quality, which allows for optimism about the future.

This year's weather conditions presented a serious challenge for agronomists, as the timing of the harvest depends on many factors. Traditionally, berry ripening occurs faster in hot and dry weather, while a cool and wet summer slows down this process. Taking temperature fluctuations into account, specialists carefully monitored the ripeness indicators to harvest the grapes at the most optimal moment.

The most yielding varieties this season were Saperavi, Pinot Gris, and Muscat Ottonel, which are expected to produce wines with pronounced aroma and harmonious structure. Chardonnay and Cabernet also deserve special mention, as they showed excellent flavour characteristics and high sugar content, promising a wonderful result in winemaking.

The harvest was conducted both manually and with the help of specialized combines. Some varieties, especially the more delicate ones, were picked exclusively by hand. Every batch of grapes was checked against quality standards, and after picking, the bunches were immediately sent to the factory no later than 30 minutes, which helped preserve their freshness and natural aromas. The harvested crop will make it possible to present new batches of favorite KOBLEVO wines and cognacs already in 2026.

Despite certain difficulties, the high-quality grapes will allow for the creation of wine with a bright taste and expressive character, which will be the highlight of the new winemaking season. In this difficult time, when the situation is influenced not only by natural conditions but also by the war, work at the enterprises does not stop. Limited access to labor and other challenges did not deter the KOBLEVO viticulturists and winemakers, who continue to work with professionalism and dedication to their craft.

We sincerely thank everyone who contributed to this process, from the workers in the vineyards to the winemakers working on processing the harvest. Effort and love for the business make KOBLEVO not just a brand, but a true symbol of quality and professionalism.

We continue our work and will very soon share the best Ukrainian wine with you!
