The art of mixology: BAYADERA GROUP at  BAROMETER BAR SHOW 2024

The International Bar Show 2024 has successfully completed, bringing together the best professionals and enthusiasts of the bar industry. This landmark event, which has been gathering market leaders and admirers of the art of mixology since 2016, has once again demonstrated the development of the industry and its impact on the culture of alcohol consumption in Ukraine and the world. Over the course of two days, the event was attended by 6,578 people, and the HUMANS theme emphasized the evolution of both people and professionals. The events of recent years have encouraged us not only to fulfill our duties, but also to strive to create a better society through our own actions. This year's BAROMETER has become not just a platform for knowledge exchange, but also a place to discuss global changes in bar culture.

BAYADERA GROUP actively joined the event, presenting its own Ukrainian brands: brandy KOBLEVO, premium vodka Persha Hildia and Ukrainian gin KOZATSKA RADA. The products of these brands have once again confirmed their exceptional quality and creativity, harmoniously complementing the concept of the event and bringing Ukrainian flavor to the global cocktail culture.

Brandy KOBLEVO is recognized not only for its high quality but also for its unique opportunities in the world of bartending. Cocktails based on KOBLEVO create a new culture of brandy consumption, combining traditional flavors with modern mixology techniques. At the event, the most popular cocktail was Apple Love, consisting of Koblevo Reserve VS 3 stars brandy, Luxardo Sour Apple liqueur and Joseph Cartron bergamot liqueur. Visitors of the event tasted more than 100 cocktails based on Ukrainian brandy and tasted the range of KOBLEVO drinks in its pure form. Speaker, Oleg Kozlovsky , gathered a full hall with his lecture “Snobbery of the Ukrainian product. Destroying the myth that the Ukrainian product cannot be of high quality and is inferior to imports”.

FIRST GUILD vodka has presented its limited Art Edition collection, which symbolizes the color of life through the art of creators - artists, poets and writers. This collection embodies unique figures who have changed Ukrainian and world culture, including Vincent Van Gogh, Taras Shevchenko and Ivan Franko. Art Edition is not just a set of drinks, it is an embodiment of cultural heritage that adds a special meaning to every sip, transporting a consumer to the world of high art and aesthetics. Over 200 cocktails were sold at the FIRST GUILD bar during the two days of the event, and the most popular was Basil Blade, which includes premium vodka FIRST GUILD, pineapple juice, lime, basil syrup and Prosecco. The premium brand also had an exclusive cocktail in cans called Van Gogh's Mashroom, which consisted of the following ingredients: premium vodka FIRST GUILD, infused with wild mushrooms, Cordial liqueur, La Tomato liqueur and cocoa bitters.

Kozatska Rada gin is the pride of Ukrainian origin, because it is made on the basis of juniper collected in Ivano-Frankivsk region. This unique region of origin gives the gin a rich flavor, makes it ideal for cocktails that combine authentic Ukrainian flavors with modern bar culture trends. At the event, the bartenders of KOZATSKA RADA gin sold 150 cocktails, among which the most popular was Midday Breeze. It consists of Kozatska Rada gin, kiwi syrup, lemon juice, lime syrup, aloe water and egg white. In addition, the speaker Vladislav Korolev held a lecture-tasting, which gathered a full hall, on the topic “Ukrainian Gin: how to create a British drink with Ukrainian character?”

BAROMETR 2024 also presented brands that BAYADERA GROUP exclusively imports to Ukraine, namely: The Singleton, Tanqueray, METAXA, Cointreau, Tequila Jarana, Hennessy, Johnnie Walker and Glenmorangie.

         The Singleton attracts admires of aged whiskey with its depth of flavor. Tanqueray is known for its classic gin, which goes well with a variety of cocktails. The Singleton and Tanqueray have demonstrated their popularity among connoisseurs of quality drinks. More than 1000 cocktails were sold, and the most popular among them was Gimlet, which was noted for its balanced taste and delicate flavor. It consists of the following ingredients: classic Tanqueray gin, lime syrup and lime zest.

         METAXA, the legendary Greek brand that combines a unique bouquet of grape and herbal flavors, did not leave the event's attendees indifferent. With its refined taste and deep character, METAXA remains an indispensable drink for those looking for something special. At the event, 108 cocktails were sold, and the most popular was “Me-groni” cocktail: METAXA 12 Stars, sweet vermouth and orange zest.

       Cointreau is a famous French orange liqueur that has become the classics of world mixology. Its fresh, citrusy flavor adds sophistication to any cocktail, and its rich aroma makes it an ideal ingredient for such famous cocktails as Margarita or Cosmopolitan. At the event, 231 cocktails with Cointreau were sold, and the most popular was the guest cocktail - “Allo” with the following ingredients: Cointreau, El Destilador tequila, El Gobernador, Trois Rivieres Cuvee De L'ocean rum, grape and sorrel liqueur, 20% salt solution.

     Tequila Jarana represents the true spirit of Mexico, embodying the centuries-old tradition of tequila production. Thanks to its bright and clean taste, this brand is becoming increasingly popular both for enjoying it in its purest form and for creating authentic Mexican cocktails. At BAROMETER 2024, 384 cocktails were sold, and the most popular was the tasting portion of Jarana Repos - a tequila made from blue agave juice, which will delight you with a fresh exotic taste and quickly cheer you up due to its high strength - 35%. The drink is also aged for several months in oak barrels and during this time is saturated with new flavors.

     Hennessy is a world-renowned brand of cognac that has been setting standards in the premium spirits category for over two centuries. Each sip reflects the art of craftsmen who pass on the secrets of creating the perfect cognac from generation to generation. Thanks to its deep history and consistent quality, Hennessy has become a symbol of luxury and sophistication in the world of alcohol. The world's No. 1 cognac bar sold about 180 cocktails and about 100 servings of Hennessy in its pure form. The most popular cocktail was Hennessy Celebration, which consists of Hennessy Very Spesial, sweet vermouth, bitters and orange.

     Glenmorangie is one of the most respected single malt whisky brands in Scotland, known for its lightness. It stands out not only for its exceptional quality, but also for its innovative approach to whisky maturation, using unique oak casks to create a complex and multifaceted flavor. The brand has presented a new product - Glenmorangie Original 12 YO. The new product, which appeared as a result of improving the flagship The Original ten-year old! The brand's bar sold about 246 drams (a Scottish measure of the volume of alcoholic beverages, mainly whiskey) of Glenmorangie whiskey. The most popular cocktail at the event was Whisky Sour, which consisted of: Glenmorangie 10 YO, lemon juice, sugar syrup, bitters and egg white.

    Johnnie Walker, one of the most famous Scotch whisky brands in the world, was founded in 1820 by John Walker. It has become famous for its unrivaled balance of flavors, where each variety - from Red Label to the exclusive Blue Label - demonstrates the mastery of blending. As part of Barometer Bar Show, the brand was presented in the form of an immersive theater in a separate room, where the performance “People. Craft. Passion” took place. 16 speakers gave lectures from various fields related to the hospitality industry. As part of these presentations, visitors learned more about the history of the Johnnie Walker brand, tried food pairings, cocktails and blends of Johnnie Walker Black Label and Johnnie Walker Blue Label.

    BAROMETER 2024 was a great opportunity not only to showcase products, but also to strengthen partnerships and open up new opportunities. This is an event that reminds us that the bar industry is not just a job. It's about people, their creativity, passion and desire to improve.
