The St-Rémy distillery is named after the Reims monk who baptized the first king of France in 459. The authentic French brandy has been produced in Nantes since 1886 from the highest quality French grapes grown exclusively in prestigious French vineyards such as Burgundy, Champagne, Rhone Valley, Languedoc-Roussillon, Loire Valley, Bordeaux and Beaujolais. The wine obtained from the grapes is distilled, and the resulting eaux-de-vie is aged in French barrels. The length of time the alcohol is aged in barrels determines the age category of the brandy (VSOP or XO).
