One of the smokiest whiskeys in the world. Lagavulin single malt whiskey is fully in keeping with the spirit of the Isle of Islay. In the mid-18th century, large-scale illegal alcohol production began on the island. Later, many factories were closed or destroyed, and in 1837 there were only two production facilities left, which united under the single name Lagavulin.
