KOBLEVO is recognized as the best ukrainian wine
Ukrainian wine is becoming a subject of debate and heated discussions more and more often. The increased interest of recognized experts and connoisseurs of quality wines to Ukrainian ones confirms the popularity of the festival "Kyiv Food and Wine Festival". The best Ukrainian wine was determined during the festival. In the category of white wines - KOBLEVO Reserve Wine Riesling, receiving 82.2 points, got the leadership, in the category of red wines - dry KOBLEVO Reserve Wine Cabernet with 83.1 points. The jury included the sommeliers of famous Kyiv restaurants, wine journalists and restaurateurs.
It is interesting that grapes for the best wine (according to the jury) have been collected in the Koblevo, Nikolayev region, at night. It is proved that at this time there is the lowest temperature and berries are the most cooled. Production workers say that it allows preserving all the brightest aromatic and flavoring qualities of grapes. Since 3 am, special grape sorts are being collected manually - for the exclusive KOBLEVO Reserve Wine collection. Winemakers expect that the harvest of 2016 will be no less than in 2015, and the new harvesting technology will allow to reach new heights in wine production and to preserve the best organoleptic properties of grapes.
President of the Sommelier Association of Ukraine Dmitry Sidorenko visited the winery "Koblevo" this year on a tour with leading restaurant sommeliers and was impressed by the high level of production: "The program was rich, we were lucky to get in a harvest season, and we personally collected the Sauvignon Blanc grapes, which later would be turned into a fine wine. Handpicking involves selecting only whole, intact and mature berries - this is a labor-intensive process, but actually, from such grapes the best wine is made all over the world. In my opinion, KOBLEVO Reserve wine is a brand new wine, the next stage of the manufacturer's development, and the results of blind tastings only confirm this once again. "
In total, 9 Ukrainian winemakers took part in the Kyiv Food and Wine Festival contest, and presented 32 samples of wine to the jury. All the tasting wines were dry: white, pink and red. Among the submitted samples there were both ordinary and seasoned, varietal and blended. In the tasting wine from all the wine regions of Ukraine were presented - from large factories (6 wineries) to small family wineries (3 wineries).
